About Auditions | Upcoming Audition Workshops | Register Online for Your Audition Young Actors' Theatre is dedicated to giving as many parts to students as possible. While we believe that every student has something to contribute, we may not be able to cast everyone who auditions. Therefore we invite everyone to audition, so that we may be able to place you in the best possible part. Whether a main part, a part in the chorus, or behind the scenes (tech) we know you will find the experience tremendously rewarding! Students who audition should be prepared to sing a one minute song. Students should bring along an accompaniment cd - we do not have a piano player at auditions. There should not be any vocals on your accompanit cd. Please do not use a pop song as an audition piece. The song should show personality, and vocal abilities. Prepare for your audition! Do some research about the show that you are auditioning for. Get to know the characters that are featured, as well as the ensemble. Choose a song that would most closely resemble the character that you are auditioning for. The internet has a wealth of information.
