Christine Cordova
Christine Cordova (Mrs. C) has been teaching and directing youth theater for nearly 20 years. She started her work in theater as a special effects makeup artist, a job she has continued to this day. She served many years as the Performing Arts Director at The Rock Academy, a K-12 school. Last year Christine returned to YAT when she directed Peter Pan, having last directed The Wizard of OZ in 2006. Some of her previous directing credits include Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Willy Wonka, Beauty & The Beast, and Godspell. All five of Christine's children have performed in YAT shows, including the inaugural production of Bye-Bye Birdie!
Choreographer:
Marc Caro-Willcox
Marc Caro-Willcox has recently moved back to San Diego from the Bay Area where he was Choreographer for the New Conservatory Theatre of San Francisco’s summer camps, as well as a teaching artist for the company’s school satellite classes. Mr. Caro-Willcox previously was the Director of Theatre Education at Visionary School for the Performing Arts while also being a company member of Visionary Dance Theatre under the direction of Mr Spencer Powell. Original company member of K.O. Dance Co. under the direction of Mrs. Katie Pipes. Marc currently is a choreographer for Helix High School’s choir department. He would like to thank, our director, Christine Cordova for always thinking of him!
Music Director:
Matt Ignacio
Matt is a cantor and director of the Youth Choir at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, where he recently starred as Joseph in the SJC Drama Ministry's production of Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. He is always thrilled to musically direct in YAT productions. He loves being able to work with such talented students. Previous shows include Aladdin, Alice in Wonderland, Bye Bye Birdie, The Music Man, Mulan, Peter Pan, 13 the Musical, The Addams Family and A Holiday To Remember.
Stage Manager:
Danielle Dudley
Danielle has been involved with YAT for the past year, with her first show being the ASM for Hairspray. Danielle has been stage managing ever since high school & now is pursuing a career in stage management. She has received an Associates degree in Technical Theatre from Grossmont College & is currently working on receiving her bachelors in Theatre Arts from UCSD. Some of her past credits include: The Odyssey (Grossmont College, SM), You're a Good Man Charlie Brown (Grossmont College, SM), Kimberly Akimbo (Grossmont College, SM), The Piano Lesson (Set Designer, SM), Spring Awakening (YAT, SM), Addams Family: The Musical (YAT, SM), A Holiday to Remember (YAT, SM), Foreground: Dance Thesis Works (UCSD, ASM), Rocks in Her Pocket (UCSD, Production Assistant). Danielle is absolutely thrilled to be back & working with YAT!
Assistant Stage Manager:
Ethan Tarlov
Ethan is a freshman at Saint Augustine High School and has been involved in their drama department's tech program. Credits there include 12 Angry Men (Director's Assistant) and The Rainmaker (Assistant Light Tech). Ethan has also been involved at YAT, working both backstage and in the tech booth for Peter Pan, Honk, and Addam's Family. He would like to thank Jean for giving him this exciting opportunity.
